Between work, school, birthdays, friends, family vacations, family injuries, family in general, other various events and happenings, I have not kept up with my promise to keep up this blog. People who were referred her by my Twitter are probably the most annoyed, especially since I tweet about being a writer, yet have no writings of any kind.
Well, my random and only slightly awkward summer has led me to learn a few things - especially in the past week, when things have been REALLY busy. So, to make up for my silence, I decided to post a few things I've learned during the first half of Summer 2011. They're in no particular order aka - pretty random, and I hope to make some time for this blog, and writing as a whole soon. Hopefully. (Let's not hold our breath.)
- Love makes you fat.
- Stupid people will always be stupid.
- Happiness is easy to find, hard to maintain.
- Laughter is the second best medicine. Vicodin is probably the first.
- Being a nerd or geek is always in fashion. Even when it's out of fashion.
- Over-imagination is really under appreciated right now.
- Marilyn Monroe is awesome.
- Libraries are also awesome. People need to remember that, partly so I can still get a job in one.
- Borders WAS awesome. RIP.
- iPod touch is the greatest product since air conditioning.
- I could never live in a decade that doesn't have air conditioning.
- Little Richard's music is much cooler than Kids Sing-a-Long-Songs portrayed it when I was younger.
- Daniel Radcliffe seems like someone I could hang out with.
- Putting Looney Tunes back on the air was the best thing Cartoon Network has done in a very long time.
- Facials (with the cucumber on the eyes and face mask) feel weird.
- Little Big Planet is my game of choice.
- Playing hide & go seek with my dog is so much fun.
- Sometimes the world sucks.
- Sometimes it's pretty amazing too.
So there you have it. My random list of random discoveries.
